Wat je gaat doen
The Public Affairs and Market Access Officer will play a critical role in shaping the vaccine landscape for the company’s portfolio of products and capabilities, by building strong relationships with governmental agencies, public health organizations and similar key stakeholders in European countries and UN agencies. This position will focus on advocating for the inclusion of the company’s portfolio within immunization schedules and thereby support marketing and communication initiatives to this end. The candidate will possess a good understanding of the European healthcare systems, NITAGs influential industry networks, influencing immunization policies and be sensitive to the emerging political and regulatory environments influencing European and UN affiliated agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Policy Analysis and Advocacy:
- Monitor and analyze European and UN affiliated immunization policies, regulations, and funding mechanisms. Monitor and analyze relevant legislation, regulations, and policy changes that impact the company and the healthcare industry.
- Develop and implement advocacy strategies to influence policy decisions related to vaccine adoption and reimbursement. [in conformance to
- Support the preparation of marketing and communication activities to deliver compelling presentations and policy briefs to government officials, policymakers, public health organizations and other stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, public health agencies (e.g., national health ministries), industry networks advisory committees, and professional associations.
- Educate HCPs, NITAG’s, Customers and end user’s on the company's products and services, including clinical data, safety information, and reimbursement options.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, market access, business development, regulatory affairs) in BBio and BBio affiliated companies, to ensure alignment and consistency in advocacy efforts.
- Brand Management:
- Contribute to marketing strategies to improve and bring awareness to the wider value and capabilities of BBio, including it’s future product pipeline. Contribute to the
- Support the development of marketing & communication material including web, social media, events and print media to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
- Represent the company at relevant conferences, workshops, and meetings. Prepare and deliver presentations as may be appropriate
- Market Access Support:
- Identify and contribute to commercial opportunities (with customers, end users and partners), to optimize the inclusion and utilization of the company’s vaccines within immunization schedules.
- Work closely with the commercial team and partner networks to provide government affairs insights that will assist in the pricing and reimbursement strategies.
- Assist in the development of value propositions and health economic analyses to support vaccine adoption.
Wat neem je mee
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, political science, life sciences, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years and up to 10 years of proven experience in the vaccines/pharmaceutical European industry, with a strong track record public policy, or market access preferably with a focus on vaccines.
- Strong understanding of European healthcare systems, immunization policies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven track record of successful advocacy and stakeholder engagement in a European context; strongly preferred for vaccines.
- Excellent communication, presentation & interpersonal skills. High proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word & MS PowerPoint.
- Ability to analyze complex policy issues and develop effective advocacy strategies.
- Fluency in English and at least one other major European language.
- Ability and willingness to travel in Europe.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of vaccine development, manufacturing, and commercialization.
- Experience working with UN led agencies, collaborators and customers / end users and UN agency affiliated networks.
- Established network of contacts within European government and public health organizations.
- Experience with CRM and other sales-related software.
- Ability to travel up to 30%, depending on the assignments and frequency
