BCG (Bacillus Calmette-Guérin)
BCG (Bacillus Calmette-Guérin) can be used in the treatment of non-invasive urothelial bladder carcinoma. Bilthoven Biologicals produces BCG exclusively for a third party as treatment against bladder cancer.1
BCG stimulates the immune system and has anti-tumour activity. Study data suggest that BCG works as a non‑specific immune booster, not through a single mechanism, but through several effects involving the cells of the immune system.1
